SomaTape teaches your body to nosebreathe naturally while you sleep.
As humans we are all designed to breathe through our noses from birth. Human Infants in the first six to twelve months of their lives can only use their noses to breathe unless crying is involved. It's time to restore your natural, healthy way of breathing. #RewireYourBreath

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe?
There are thousands of individuals who practice mouthtape each night as a part of their regular life routine. But with any medical approach, we recommend you do your own research and make a decision for your self including a consultation with your doctor (especially if you have prior conditions). If you suspect you have Sleep Apnea, we highly recommend you get a sleep study done.
How long does it take to see benefits?
Many report that they experience a difference as fast as the first night they mouthtape to sleep. By the end of your first month of mouthtaping, you will likely notice a definite difference in your sleep quality and energy levels.
You will also experience positive physiological changes over time as your body adjusts and nasal breathing becomes. your default way of breathing. These kinds of changes happen over months and years.
What if my nose is stuffed?
Nasal congestion issues are very common. First we recommend you try to determine the cause of your congestion. Is it allergies? A cold? Deviated septum? etc.
Consistent nasal breathing actually supports clearing of nasal passageways over time. If you experience congestion regularly, we recommend starting mouthtaping during the day while at home.
If you have severe congestion, it may be best to wait until you're breathing more freely.
Do you do it every night?
Mouthtaping is a daily/nightly practice. On your journey of transitioning towards nosebreathing, it is best to mouthtape every night. And like any practice, the more you do it, the better you get at it.
Over time, your body's physiology will transform to make nosebreathing easier even when you're not using tape.
Can I use this with CPAP?
Yes - mouthtaping is a compatible practice with CPAP. It is important to note that CPAP although an amazing technology does not teach your body to nosebreathe. So despite its benefits, you are not actually transforming your body towards better independent health.
Practicing mouthtaping with your CPAP will not only enhance the benefit you receive from CPAP, but leave you with a more lasting change and transformation over time.
If you have severe sleep apnea, we recommend you consult with your doctor prior to use.
Will it stay on with my beard?
Yes - our tape is great even for those with luscious beards. The size and adhesive used makes sure that it stays on through the night even with a beard, while gentle enough to take off without pain in the morning.
